Causes and solutions for insufficient flow of vane pump

May 12, 2022

Vane pump is one of the three hydraulic pumps, which is widely used. The operator who often contacts the vane pump may know that for the vane pump, the insufficient flow of the vane pump often leads to the maintenance of the hydraulic pump. Today, I'm here to analyze the causes of insufficient flow of vane pump and solutions for your reference:

1. The screws at the top cover are loose, the axial clearance increases, and the volumetric efficiency decreases. Solution: properly tighten the screws to ensure uniform and appropriate clearance.

2. The inner surface of the stator is worn, and the blade cannot be in good contact with the inner surface of the stator. Solution: the inner surface of the stator is generally worn at the oil suction chamber.

3. The sliding of some blades is not flexible. Solution: cleaning. If it is still not flexible after cleaning, it should be mixed in a single slot to make the blade.

4. Large system leakage. Solution: check the leakage one by one, and check whether the pressure gauge is blocked by dirt.

5. The blade is installed reversely with the rotor. Solution: make the inclination direction of the blade consistent with the rotation direction of the rotor.

6. The end face of the valve plate is severely worn. Solution: replace.

When the vane pump has insufficient flow, the common causes and solutions can be divided into the above 6 points. The insufficient flow is basically caused by the leakage of the hydraulic system, so our so-called solutions are basically to repair the leaking or worn parts of the hydraulic system. To prevent the vane pump from insufficient flow, first of all, it is necessary to prevent leakage and component wear.
